Waiting on Wednesday #20

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I'm waiting on Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay!
Expected publication date: December 9th, 2014!

Game of Thrones meets the Grimm's fairy tales in this twisted, fast-paced romantic fantasy-adventure about Sleeping Beauty's daughter, a warrior princess who must fight to reclaim her throne.

Though she looks like a mere mortal, Princess Aurora is a fairy blessed with enhanced strength, bravery, and mercy yet cursed to destroy the free will of any male who kisses her. Disguised as a boy, she enlists the help of the handsome but also cursed Prince Niklaas to fight legions of evil and free her brother from the ogre queen who stole Aurora's throne ten years ago.

Will Aurora triumph over evil and reach her brother before it's too late? Can Aurora and Niklaas break the curses that will otherwise forever keep them from finding their one true love?

Why am I waiting for this book?

STACEY JAY. FAIRYTALE RETELLING. SLEEPING BEAUTY.
I love books that reimagine the fairytales, and I adored Of Beast and Beauty by this same author! I can't wait to see what kinds of twists and spins she put on the classic story of Sleeping Beauty and Princess Aurora.
But can I just say, not a total fan of that cover..

So, what book are you excited about reading? As always, leave me a link! :)

  10. I agree about the cover. It's not terribly bad, but it's doesn't instantly scream "read me!" The blurb on the other hand... ohh my gosh, I definitely does! It sounds so awesome! Can't wait to read it, too :)

Comments always make me smile. :) Seriously. Even if you comment on the post weeks or months later, it makes my day! So don't hesitate to leave your thoughts even if it's been a long time since the post was published. I'll try to reply to you, especially if you ask a question, but sometimes life happens. But I do read and appreciate every single one of them because I know how hard it can be to find the time or energy to comment. So a heartfelt THANK YOU for brightening my day when you do. <3
