Here's to Year Three!

Originally, I was going to end this blogoversary celebration with a post and a giveaway. But I just don't the time or money to do another one, especially not since Christmas is coming up, I'm doing the Secret Santa event hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and I already have one ending this weekend. Instead, I'm just going to look ahead at what I want to accomplish in year 3 and tell you about some awesomeness that I have planned for the coming months. :)

Bloggish/Bookish Goals
**Create my own feature (which I hope to do very soon)
**Plan a BIG event
**Work up the courage to request physical ARCs
**Go to another signing and meet more authors
**Read more NetGalley books and get that coveted 80% approval ratio!
**Start a readathon/along or reading challenge
**Socialize more on Twitter (because that is where it's at!)
**Take the time to visit and comment on more blogs
**Use more gifs in my reviews! (I used to do it, but I stopped for some reason)
**Reach 500 Bloglovin' followers
**Actually update the "My Reviews" tab
**Organize a Twitter chat
**Do more joint-blogger stuff, like events or features or discussions
**Add a way for people to follow via email
**Take more trips to the library instead of buying more books
**Create a survey or tag (which I think would be way fun)
**Find a better balance with review books and "me" ones
**Reach 1,000 followers on Twitter
**Get another HarperCollins approval
**Stop being so scared of jumping into conversations on Twitter

I hope to accomplish many of these goals, as well as create more for myself! I want to be here for years and years to come, but you never know what's going to happen in the future. And so why not do all I can now? I'm also tired of the old and I just want to do MORE with the blog. I want it be fun and interesting and creative. I want to do more than reviews, memes, and discussion posts. I also have ideas, too, but I never seem to find the time to work on implementing them (Ha, more like I'm a procrastinator who puts everything off until the last possible minute). And that stops now! Because, hopefully, I'll be starting a few within the next couple of months! I have discussion ideas, a feature for them that I still need to make a graphic for, so I need to get writing and designing! I have another feature that will be a bit more personal that I want to start; again, it needs a graphic and my time. I also have a monthly feature I'm starting soon that will involve a pal I met through Goodreads. I hope it will happen this month, but since November is already halfway finished, it might not start until December.

But I want to open this up to my followers: What would YOU like to see on The Fox's Hideaway? Would you like to see more than reviews? Do you want more discussion posts? Do you want another way to follow the blog? Do you want me to just hurry up and create these intriguing new features already? I'm very curious about your opinions and I want to open this up to you guys because you're the ones who follow me and read my posts. So, lay it on me! :)

Aaaaand you might want to check out It Starts At Midnight tomorrow for a little something Shannon and I have been cooking up over the last week. ;) There are few more hours left to enter the international giveaway, too! So, yeah, that's it. I hope y'all have liked the different blogoversary posts. Thank you for continuing with me on this journey and the support with the name change. It's been a blast so far, and I can't wait for YEAR THREE:)

Ok ok ok ok. Hurry up with these new features, and everything, and just gah. I just like your writing in general, it's 100x better than mine and I love how you're just able to express everything, while I'm here like "ashjlsg;lkaf blub".

I think I used to have a 80% feedback to approval ratio, but then I started requesting a ton of books, that I haven't been reading. So yeah. whoops. Hmmm, I NEED TO WORK UP THE COURAGE TO REQUEST PHYSICAL BOOKS TOO! I think you should be able to at this point. Since you have so many followers. And it's been 3 years. I say go for it. I was planning to request physical books from small companies (whatever those ones are), and see what happens.....I mean, you can't get accepted if you don't try!!!

Also, doesn't lack of money ruin everything? I don't think I'm going to participate in Secret Santa this year, just because, money, life, blah.

    1. I'M SORRY OKAY BUT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE 100 IS. (All three of us will just have to do a super secret special project together soon, okay?)

And aw, thank you so much. As a writer, that seriously means a lot. :)

I want to try, but gah, the rejection would probably sting a lot more if I start! I'm still a wee little baby blogger, okay?

And I feel ya, girl. Sounds like we're in the same boat a little bit. But I hope you do one sometime! I only just got my person and I'm already excited about buying for them. :)

  2. Oooh I've always wanted my own feature! I look forward to seeing yours. I'm such a chicken when it comes to requesting arcs. I know people get all kinds free, but I'm just too shy to ask. I always mean to be on twitter more, but I have problems with 140 characters.

I'd like a way to follow by email, because that's the only way I don't forget about blogs. (I've been meaning to come back here all November... Better late than never)

    1. I just hope I actually stop procrastinating enough to start the features, but your excitement makes me even more excited! Dude, I just requested my first physical ARC. *incoherent screaming* I'm not holding my breath that I'll get approved, but it's a step in the right direction! And oh gosh, as a writer, I hate the 140 character limit. It's like WHAT GRAMMATICAL CRIME DO I COMMIT SO THIS SENTENCE WILL MAKE SENSE.

You're not the first to ask about email, so I'll make it a point to add that option! I used to look at email to find new blog posts but now I always use Bloglovin'. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Comments always make me smile. :) Seriously. Even if you comment on the post weeks or months later, it makes my day! So don't hesitate to leave your thoughts even if it's been a long time since the post was published. I'll try to reply to you, especially if you ask a question, but sometimes life happens. But I do read and appreciate every single one of them because I know how hard it can be to find the time or energy to comment. So a heartfelt THANK YOU for brightening my day when you do. <3
